Welcome – 30 June 2019

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” – Matthew 5:14-16

We can be confused between Jesus clear teaching here, that we must shine for Him, and His command in 6:3, “But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.” – how do we shine if we don’t show what we’re doing?

It’s all about context! That’s why it’s so good to be in a home Bible Study, where we can together explore and grow and shine. And to join every Sunday at Church for full corporate worship and teaching. Glory happens!
