Welcome 27 January 2019

“Never in the history of mankind has so much been owed by so many to so few” – Winston Churchill’s emotional cry at an RAF station during the Battle of Britain. While building this into what would be his most famous speech, a friend said, “What about Jesus?” – and Churchill changed the word “mankind” to “human conflict”.

But the words are indeed owed to Jesus Christ, with the whole company of martyrs and missionaries who have established the Church for our salvation and joy.

“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth” – Acts 1:9

Rejoice today as we welcome Andy and Debbie Abbott, on furlough from labour for the Moskona people in Papua. We are in partnership with them!

There is nothing better than this!
