Welcome – 14 January 2018

Every morning I lay out the pieces of my life on Your altar, and watch for fire to descend. – Psalm 5:3 (The Message)

As each year rolls on, I am inclined to see dark clouds ahead, not light. New Year celebrations seem increasingly idiotic and drive me to prayer.

Then I look back at my view the previous year, and have to shake my head at how wrong I was. The things I prayed against, largely didn’t happen: the things I prayed for, largely did. And despite all the bad, there has been glory. Man’s evil has limits.

The pessimism is my carnal rationality, excluding God’s working.

Dwelling in Scripture, praying and worshipping together are core to correcting my perspective, energising His life in me, my life in Him.

Welcome to our place of light and healing!
