FW: KBC WELCOME – 18 JANUARY 2015

Why do we meet together like this every Lord’s Day? Is it because we have to? Is it because it is the religious thing to do and we have always done it? Or is it because we want to? Yes, there are times when, for different reasons we don’t feel like attending ‘church’. It is then that the discipline of regular attendance plays an important role, where in a sense it is ‘have to’ or we should.

In Hebrews 10:25 the writer addresses this problem when he writes, “Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Do you see that when we meet together it is not only for our benefit, but for the benefit of our fellow believers, for we are in fact encouraging one another.

Whatever your circumstances, may our service today be an encouragement to you.
