My last Welcome Note

For You, O Lord, have made me glad by Your work; at the work of your hands I sing for joy – Psalm 92:4

Four years ago, after being elected to Eldership of Knysna Baptist Church, I wrote my first Welcome for these bulletins. As I am stepping down this month, this is my last. It has been a blessing, a challenging blessing, to compose each devotion, and I trust that they have sometimes been encouraging for you.

An energetic young team will be in harness from March, and I look forward to the fresh outreach and ministry under them. Pastor Malcolm’s foresight and nurturing are behind the initiative, and our support in terms of appreciation, prayer and responsiveness are needed for the work to flourish.

Our work is The Lord’s work – and done in His honour, it is glad work, so we sing for joy in it: together, as a congregation – how good that we can be together again from this week!
