"I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh." Ezekiel 36:26

Doesn't that encapsulate Christ's salvation so well? Doesn't it articulate so well God's purpose in us? To have our cold stoney hearts dug out – hearts hard and unbending to the love and call of Christ! And to have a different spirit to replace it, an empowering agent, controller, directing our action and attitude. When Christ forgives us and brings us into this covenant with God, He makes us entirely new – we literally are "a new creation" (2 Cor 5:17).

This is Eternal Life. Walk in this newness!
