Welcome 3 May 2021

"… it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain" – Phillipians 1:20-21

Greetings Church Family
In describing his ambition in life, Paul
captures for us, what for him is the defining essence of worship.
His passion
is that whatever he does with his body, whether in life or death, will always
be worship towards Jesus Christ.
Paul’s
point is that for you and I, as Christians, our lives, and even our deaths, are
an act of worship when the greatest gain
, is found in exalting Christ. Here are some wise words from John Piper – “The
authenticating inner essence of worship is being satisfied with Christ, prizing
Christ, cherishing Christ, treasuring Christ . . . it encompasses all of life that
flows from the heart.”
