In Psalm 100 the psalmist encourages God’s people to …

Make a joyful noise to the LORD,

all the earth!

Serve the LORD with gladness!

Come into his presence with singing!

He gives us two reasons why we should worship with joy and praise; firstly, God created us and secondly, He cares for us. The psalmist ends with these words,

For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.

It is my prayer that as the people of God, our worship will be filled with joy and thanksgiving. May we also come with a desire to hear God speak to us through his Word.
