[We are] waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.( Titus 2:13-14) (ESV)

Paul’s concern in this letter to Titus, for sound doctrine is balanced by an emphasis on proper Christian conduct, avoiding quarreling, being gentle, and showing perfect courtesy toward all people.

This passage is one of the clearest affirmations in the New Testament of the deity of Christ. Our great redeemer who frees us from our sins so that together we might become a church special to Him.

So as His church let us continue doing good as our way of life.
